Night Guard – Survive the Night Shift in this 80’s Style Horror Demo

In Night Guard you play the role of Logan, a security guard at a parking garage. You’re watching TV in the middle of your shift when suddenly the power goes out. You go to investigate, and discover one of the fuses is blown. We make some quick repairs and hurry back to the office.

The night only gets weirder as it goes on though. Once you make it back, you hear a baby crying. It’s coming from the trunk of a car! You bust it open to find out it’s just a doll. Strange, who did that? Then, the door to the lot closes, and locks you in. Maybe you’re not alone down here? You should be careful, and take another look around.

Night Guard is a good horror game concept and I really enjoyed the demo. The 80’s theme wasn’t all that noticeable, but maybe we’ll see more of it later on. It still made a good use of retro style graphics. I also liked looking through the rooms in the back for the items that I should use next. It wasn’t too hard to figure out, and something creepier happened every time I came back and went into the security room.

The creator, Cubyte Games says this demo is an intro to the complete game. Hopefully we see more of it soon!
