TV Night – Watch Cartoons and Escape the TV Monster

Your parents are asleep, so you get up in the middle of the night to watch cartoons. TV Night is a horror game set in the 90’s where you watch and collect VHS tapes from around the house. You go downstairs and turn on the TV. A weird cartoon you haven’t seen before plays, then the channel changes. It’s showing a room in your house! There’s a flashlight pointing at a VHS tape and the TV asks you to go get it.

You can explore the house and more of it opens up as you get more tapes. Eventually the screen gets pretty distorted with the VHS effects, and you might spot a strange shadow lurking around. Feeding the TV the rest of the VHS tapes, it grows legs and jumps up from the stand!

TV Night is a fun short horror game that you can complete in around 5 minutes. I liked the simplicity and slight VHS effects, though it was a bit too dark in some rooms. It made it hard to tell if there was anything important to find in some places like the kitchen.

There’s nothing to find but the tapes though, so just follow the directions the TV gives you. The creator made a unique and interesting monster that really reminds me of a few other cryptids.
