Redundancy – Short Indie Horror Game

Redundancy is a short horror game where you work in the IT department of a sinister tech company. It starts off as a normal day for an IT guy. Everyone’s complaining the computers are broken, and we’re sure it’s not their fault at all just like in real life.

Your company is all about robotics development. A few of them are even allowed to roam around the office. While all of the workers are standing around, you make your way through the offices to repair the PC’s. Eventually you make your way to a larger executive office with a PC that’s giving you an especially hard time.

Suddenly, the floor opens up beneath you and sends you the dark basement below. You’ve never seen this place before, what it is? Looking around, there’s a bunch of those robots like we saw before. Then we come across some others that look a little bit different, they’re also much less friendly.

Only other person here actually doing work

There’s a breaker someone down here, we’ll need to turn the power to the escape door back on. There’s many places to hide, and it’s actually not too difficult to get past the guard bots. After our escape, the company nor the news will acknowledge our story. So we make a silent departure.

Redundancy has a fun short horror game concept with a hide and seek escape at the end. It takes around 5 minutes to complete if you don’t get caught by the robots too much. Created in a few days for the ScreamLite Jam.
