Well, someone finally made a horror game about the balloon photo you see when going to the eye doctor. Nightmare of the Hot Air Balloon was made to recreate a scene like in that strangely liminal photo they use when checking your eyes. It’s actually a really beautiful game they made. It has a much more realistic sky than what I’ve seen in many other indie horror games.
When you get closer, the balloon seems to change… Turns out it’s not a balloon, it’s just a flat illusion. On the back is a menacing face, revealing the other side of the balloon liminal realm you never saw before. Nightmare of the Hot Air Balloon is a short, but colorful horror game where you always feel unsettled. Probably will haunt you the next time that you go in for an eye test.
