A Visit to the Library – Short 60 Second Horror Game

A Visit to the Library is a short horror game where you have 60 seconds to leave the library after closing. The only problem is that when you go to leave, the door is locked. You can either explore around the library or try to leave. Either way, the librarian left you an eerie message through the speakers saying he’ll kick you out.

You can eventually find the key and leave, but it’s worth walking around to see everything either way. It only takes two or three playthroughs to see everything and get both endings. There’s also other people hanging around apparently, including the librarian who laughs from the top floor at you.

A Visit to the Library Closing Thoughts

The colors and PS1 style graphics are also spot on. It’s not too dark, and it really feels like we’re in a creepy library all alone at night. Although it’s just a minute long, A Visit to the Library was my favorite out of the one minute horror game jam. There’s a lot of impressive small details added which makes the library a fun place to explore. I’d definitely like to see more games like this, no matter how short.
