SOMETHING – Escape an SCP Facility and Kill all of the Staff

SOMETHING is a horror game where you play as an escaping SCP monster. You’re locked in a cell, until one of your SCP friends blows out the power and unlocks the door. Your goal is to knock out the rest of the generators and escape the Arizona Anomaly Containment Foundation.

The foundation was built in 1948 to help research and understand supernatural phenomena so we can protect ourselves from the horror of the powerful unknown. Now we take the role of one of those phenomena and kill everyone that stands in our way so we can get out.

Once you’re out of your cell, you wreak havoc upon the entire facility. With a click of the mouse, we attack with quick deadly speed. You kill all of the staff, guards, and probably all of the higher ups in their offices too. The mayhem continues as other prisoners join in with you.

Along the way, you destroy the generators and let even more horrifying creatures out of their rooms too. None of them are your allies, it’s actually best to avoid them at all costs. They’ll kill you if you give them the chance. Except for the glorious Vibe Shard of course, just chilling out to music and minding it’s own business.

Make sure to read the papers in front of each of the other monsters cells. It’ll tell you how to avoid getting killed by them. This was a pretty neat mechanic to introduce, you won’t get out alive by just trying to run past them. Each of them has a unique and horrifying jump scare attack screen too.

SOMETHING is a unique indie horror game where you get to play as the monster and take victims for once. I really enjoy games like this that let you be the bad guy, and highly recommend trying it out. I’d love to play more indie games like this. The Jump Scare art is truly terrifying and fits the SCP genre perfectly.
