Garten of Banban Horror Game Review

Garten of Banban is a Kindergarten horror experience where you meet some friends on a dark, lonely night. It’s colorful, and clean just like you would expect it to be, but something definitely feels off.

You get to control a drone to help you make it into other rooms, pretty simple mechanic. It’s a neat addition but maybe not entirely necessary. It wasn’t used enough to make it worth it, just for some buttons and not much puzzle solving.

Spooky Kindergarten Vibes

The end is here

The puzzles we do come across aren’t too difficult except for the memory game where you’ll definitely have to backtrack. Feeding the bird the eggs after the hunt was the most tense experience. Thought for sure I’d be getting a jump scare there. Besides that, the colorful yet creepy vibes were really well done.

The bird and atmosphere of Garten of Banban is unsettling despite the childish looks. His face peaking around the corner at the start was the best part, along with the one room with the rotating benches. God d*mn that was spooky. That chase was the best part of the game.

You can wishlist Garten of Banban 2 on Steam now, though I think it should’ve just all been done in one game. It was about 15 minutes long and didn’t have much conclusion or a cliffhanger. It’s above average, but in total I’d give it a 7/10 for how well done the creepy bird was. There just wasn’t that much in the game.
