Dying of Thirst – Short Indie Horror Game

You wake up in the middle of the night and realize your cup is empty! You drank all of you water before you went to sleep. In Dying of Thirst, you make a brave trip to the kitchen to fill up your cup. Taking a quick glance outside, there’s a stranger looking at you from behind a tree. We pay no mind to him though, we need water!

The game is pretty simple, you just have to keep filling up the water meter. There’s a few strange noises and distractions that stop you, but we figure it’s best to focus on that meter. There’s not any harsh jump scares, though it does have a creepy and dark atmosphere. A little more guidance on where to go after certain prompts would be a nice addition, but it was a small house so it worked out just fine.

It’s a fun and short horror game that takes under 10 minutes to play. The low res PS1 graphics, and darkness create a familiar atmosphere comparable to your own home. The idea of going to the fridge for some water at night, with a horror twist is a good story.
