Walking Alone at Night Indie Horror Game Review

Walking Alone at Night is a short horror game where you walk back home in the darkness after work. You thought it would be a relaxing walk back, but you keep seeing weird things. It’s a mostly calm experience, the game is really another walking simulator. The atmosphere is nice though. It’s dark, and the sky has a nice design. I always love to see a pixel moon at night.

Gameplay wise there’s not much to do. It’s a lot of walking and the game actually has many glitches. Some of them are intentional though, I think. The random appearance of the black shadow was creepy though. There’s not much else to it other than the expected final jump scare.

It works for a horror game this short though. Maybe adding some extra items to interact with on the road would’ve been a good addition?
