Perfect Vermin – A Horror Game With Sinister Furniture Imposters and a Sad Message

Perfect Vermin is a short free game where you hunt down monsters posing as furniture. With your trusty sledge, you can smack away and destroy almost anything. It has a highly destructible environment that breaks apart into many pieces. It’s really satisfying when games takes advantage of highly customized destruction like this. It reminds me of Red Faction: Guerilla and Teardown, I wish there was more like it.

After the first few levels, you’ll see that the theme of this game is about fighting cancer. The news anchor, who seems to be the main character becomes more deformed as the game goes on. With the cigarettes piling up and the no smoking signs, it becomes more and more apparent. Despite your efforts in quickly destroying the imposters, they take their toll and it becomes impossible to keep up.

Perfect Vermin Explained – The Ending Message

The ending has a sad reveal about the character. The final level is flipped and filled with anti-smoking signs, and it’s impossible to destroy everything in time. The last scene of the game is sad and harsh, with the main character given the bad news and being unable to accept it. Perfect Vermin is a great mix of having fun destroying everything, with a tragic but meaningful story.

The game was made in loving memory of Harold A. Shpitz
